Center for Applied Imagination
The Center for Applied Imagination, along with its academic unit, the Creativity and Change Leadership Department, has researched and taught creativity, creative problem-solving, and change leadership for over half a century. We are the pioneering academic program in the field of applied creativity education.

Computer Information Systems
Students in the CIS Department complete hands-on research as part of their studies and learn how to apply current computer technology to real-world business problems.

Criminal Justice
Buffalo State’s criminal justice program is the oldest such program in Western New York, and its reputation extends across the state. We educate the next generation of criminal justice practitioners, policymakers, and researchers for positions at the local, state, and federal levels; law school; or graduate study.

Engineering Technology
The Engineering Technology Department programs prepare students for technical careers in industry and business, and are designed to give students a broad education in the areas of mechanical and electrical systems design, manufacturing, quality, management, and safety.
